Dota profile: showcase and mini-profile

The Dota 2 showcase editor, templates and writing to accounts.

Editor#

Dota profile edits the Dota 2 profile showcase and the mini-profile. The Profile and Mini-profile tabs switch the canvas. The Dota interface option draws the Dota client frame around the showcase, and the grid helps with alignment. The standard showcase button returns the original look.

The Dota profile canvas with hero selection in the element panel

Add item on the right offers a hero, hero icon, stats, recent games chart, activity feed, chat wheel message, graffiti, emoticon, trophy, courier and ward. Drag elements with the mouse, the corner changes the size. Shift drops the aspect ratio, Alt ignores the grid, arrow keys move the selected element and Delete removes it. The canvas holds up to 64 elements.

The Background block sets the Dota background number, dimming and blur. The Elements list shows everything on the canvas.

Sample from an account#

Load from account reads the current showcase of a connected account. It can take up to a minute because Dota starts on the account. A sample gives access to its armory items and emoticons. Other accounts may not own those items, in which case they are skipped.

Templates#

Save as template stores both showcases at once. Templates are chosen in the list next to the tabs, up to 50.

Write to accounts#

Click Apply to accounts. In the window, tick the profile, the mini-profile or both.

The choice window: write the profile and the mini-profile

Choose the accounts and write. On each account Dota starts for the time of writing next to its current games, and heroes appear in that account's skins. The task panel shows processed, successful and failed counts and a result per account, and the writing can be stopped.

The regular Steam showcase is covered in showcases.
